Homeschooling Pros? What about the Cons?

For parents who are set on taking their kids out of mainstream education and going down the home school route, often zoom in on the Homeschooling Pros yet zoom out on the Homeschooling cons. Many folks are so adamant that their kids will develop better with homeschooling that they refuse to listen to the potential problems that can come with removing kids from their peers. The lack of healthy competition being one, socialisation issues being another, and adults who are perhaps not really qualified to teach, being just one more factor that folks should look at when thinking about removing their kids from the school classroom to the home classroom. There’s also a problem sometimes whith family relationships simply because the students are cooped up in the home for long periods. It’s healthy to be able to look forward to going home after a long day in the school classroom (for kids), and the workplace (for parents), but when the family lives, sleeps, works, and studies, in one place, it can and does, at times, drive a wedge between harmony in the home. The internet is a great place to research the pros and cons of homeschooling, and no parents should make a decision about this without reading some of the authority sites online that cover all areas of homeschooling.
