You might find this hard to believe but an article in a local newspaper read yesterday about how a Christian family destroyed a loving and stable relationship between their daughter and her non-Christian boyfriend. Apparently, he lied about his faith, in fact he didn’t even have one, just so that there was no friction between him and the family of his lovely wife. Somehow, some member of the family found out through the grapevine of the man’s non religious beliefs, and when confronted he confessed as he didn’t want to live the lie any longer. In fact he said it was somewhat of a relief, but assured all concerned that this didn’t change his attitude towards the family and that he would continue to be a good loving and loyal husband to his wife.
Well, to cut a very long story short, the men and women of the girl’s family made life so intolerable for this poor chap by constant harassment, snide remarks, and slurs on his character posted on religious forums online etc, that it all became too much to bear. They now live apart and are pending a divorce. So much for love and tolerance of religion! Why should Dating Non Christian Men be a crime in the eyes of Christianity?
