If you have Problems with Alcoholism, AA has the Answer. Or does it? If the Alcoholics Anonymous program of recovery was such a successful and healthy method for sobering up drunks, why is it that the success rate only sits at around 3% at best? Some would argue that if just 3% of all desperate drinkers get clean and dry as a direct result of AA’s methodology, then all the time and effort at promoting the program worldwide is well worth the effort. Others would argue that in the twenty first century we should know now what we have to do to improve the success rate of cleaning up drunks and drug addicts. Actually we do. There are many alternatives to AA nowadays, and although not as old nor as big as the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, they are fast gaining in popularity and look extremely promising. If you, your children, or indeed any love family member of friends needs a little help at getting sober in 2010, but can’t or won’t grab the ‘God’ concept of AA, then introduce them to some of the other options available that are now springing up in all major towns and cities.
