Colors and Bathroom Tile Design do Make a Difference in DIY Projects

It was going to be our first experience on a small remodeling project together.  We had both spent time doing individual things to keep the house in good repair.  Now it was time to work together as we attempted a complete make-over of our master bathroom.  When we decided to use tile flooring, we were a bit confused on what the best bathroom tile design would be.  We enlisted some help from professionals to get ideas.  What we finally decided on was a random colored mosaic tile that would fill the room with color and wonder.  We chose seventeen different tile colors to make the randomness work well.

As we started laying the bathroom tile design, we noticed that the randomness was creating a floating effect.  It was as if some of the tiles were floating in mid air.  When we tried to duplicate the effect in a pattern, we could not.  There was something special about how the random pattern worked.  When we finished the floor, we decided not to use the antique vanities we already had.  We ended up tiling the walls about mid way up.  We only used seven colors for the walls to help them stand out a bit.  The overall result was extraordinary at the least.
